1. Introduction

1.1Welcome to La Española Beauty Supply, an online store dedicated to selling beauty products. These policies, terms and conditions apply to every purchase made in our online store. By making a purchase, you accept these policies, terms and conditions. If you do not agree with any of them, you will not be able to make a purchase in our store.

1.2We reserve the right to update, modify or change these policies, terms and conditions at any time and without prior notice. It is the user’s responsibility to review them periodically to stay informed of any changes. The date of the last update appears at the end of this document.

2. Store information

2.1La Española Beauty Supply is owned by La Española Beauty Supply, LLC, registered in Puerto Rico.

3. Prices and payments

3.1All prices in our online store are in US dollars (USD). At the end of your order, the Sales and Use Tax (IVU) of 11.5% is calculated on the value of the products, as applicable.

3.2Payments are processed securely through Stripe. We accept credit and debit cards and the digital payment methods that Stripe offers at the time of purchase (for example, Apple Pay or Google Pay). We never store your card details.

3.3Payment is made at the time of purchase. Once the payment is confirmed, we will send a confirmation email to the user.

3.4The online price is generally the same as in our stores; however, prices may vary. We are not able to match the online store price at our physical stores. Online prices are subject to change and to periodic promotional offers.

4. Shipping and delivery

4.1Products are shipped to the address provided by the user at the time of purchase. Shipping cost is calculated based on the delivery address. We can ship to practically any address; please note that some products have restrictions and some cannot be shipped to international destinations.

4.2Shipping of certain products, such as salon equipment (chairs, shampoo bowls, stations, robots, dryers, among others), is restricted and limited to our stores in Puerto Rico. In that case we will notify you in advance and coordinate with you so you can pick them up at the store of your convenience. Check your equipment at the time of delivery; we are not responsible for damage to equipment once it has left the store.

4.3The system generally calculates shipping according to the postal code, and that calculation has limits. For this reason, occasionally and due to the weight of the products, we may contact you about any discrepancy in the shipping cost to look for alternatives and make decisions about your order.

4.4We do our best to deliver products within the time indicated in the product description. However, we are not responsible for delays caused by the shipping service provider.

4.5The user is responsible for providing an accurate and complete delivery address. If the package is returned to our store due to an incorrect or incomplete address, the user will be responsible for the cost of reshipping.

4.6If a package shipped through USPS or another courier service is misrouted or lost in transit, no refund will be issued until the package is found and returned to our warehouse. Once located, we will proceed accordingly to ensure delivery to the customer.

4.7It is our intention to have every product shown on the site available; however, occasionally we may have difficulties. In that case we will offer you an alternative product and check with you before shipping.

5. Returns and refunds

5.1If the user is not satisfied with their purchase, they may return the product within 14 days from the delivery date. The product must be in the same condition in which it was received, unused and in its original packaging. Returns are not accepted for consumable products, chemicals, mannequins, wigs, buns, extensions, razors, brushes, combs or furniture.

5.2The user is responsible for the return shipping costs. Once the product is received and verified, we will issue the applicable refund to the same payment method used for the purchase (the original card), through Stripe, within a maximum of 30 days. No cash refunds are issued. The time it takes for the refund to appear on your account depends on your bank.

5.3If you are a local resident, you may visit any La Española Beauty Supply store with your original purchase receipt (sent to your email) to be assisted with your claim. All exchanges are handled through the manager.

5.4Check your equipment at the time of delivery; we are not responsible for damage to equipment once it has left the store. A charge of 25% of the merchandise value applies to returned appliances and equipment.

5.5Returns of personalized products or products that have been used are not accepted.

5.6After 14 days, the warranty for electrical appliances must be handled directly with the manufacturer.

6. Intellectual property

6.1All content of our online store, including images, texts and designs, is the property of La Española Beauty Supply or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

6.2Reproduction, distribution, display, transmission or exploitation of any content of our online store without our express written permission is prohibited.

7. Privacy

7.1We are committed to protecting our users’ privacy. For more information on how we handle your personal information, see our Privacy policy and our Cookie policy.

8. Limitation of liability

8.1We are not responsible for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages that may result from the use or inability to use our online store.

8.2We do not guarantee that our online store is free of errors or viruses, or that access to it will be uninterrupted.

8.3In no case will our liability exceed the purchase price of the product in question.

9. Governing law and jurisdiction

9.1These policies, terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Puerto Rico, without giving effect to any conflict of laws provision.

9.2Any dispute arising in connection with these policies, terms and conditions will be resolved exclusively in the courts of Manatí, Puerto Rico.

10. General provisions

10.1These policies, terms and conditions constitute the entire agreement between the user and La Española Beauty Supply, LLC regarding the use of our online store and replace any prior agreement.

10.2If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, it will be construed consistently with applicable law to reflect, as far as possible, the original intent of the parties, and the remaining provisions will remain valid and enforceable.

10.3Our failure to exercise any right or provision of these policies, terms and conditions does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
